As reported by (Corpwatch Online) In what may be too little too late a large number of Fortune 500's are rushing to register their International Keywords and stave off the army of cyber squatters that appear to be lurking in cyberspace.
Statistics from the International Keyword Registry showed a dramatic increase of over 250% in registrations.
Another article from Corpwatch titled "Nestle and BP take on cybersquatters" detailed the efforts of these two multinationals to gain ownership of their own ikeywords.
The status of International Keywords in the legal world still remains something open for debate, with many claiming they share the same status as domain names.
