A fairly widespread award, hotels are rated based on their service. 1 Star being the least, 5 star being the most excellent.

The wide availability of this award has led to it being somewhat devalued, it is however a good indication of the standard of a hotel and is widely recognised.

Imperial Mark

The most prestigous and coveted of any award a hotel can win. There is not rating scale, you either make it or you don't and if you make it then you're hotel is one of the best in the world!

If you run a small hotel then you may as well forget about trying to apply for this award, it is incredibly prestigious and as such is meant only for the "big boys" of the industry such as Hitlon and Four Seasons.
